FISH of Vancouver is proud to announce Capital Campaign and Steering Committee to Acquire New West Vancouver Facility

FISH of Vancouver, one of Clark County’s busiest food pantries providing emergency food to families and individuals, announced a capital campaign today led by a steering committee of local business and community leaders. Steering Committee members are Tim Calderbank, Partner, Landerholm; David Copenhaver, President and CEO, Acorn Acquisitions; Carol Keljo, Owner, Security Signs; Casey Wyckoff, President, LSW Architects; Gary Bock, Executive Director, Southwest Washington Contractors Association; Greg Flakus, President, GF Strategies; George Kaufer, Director and Board member, FISH of Vancouver; Dick Kunkle, Board Member, FISH of Vancouver; Terry Phillips, President, The Phillips Group; Katlin Smith, Principal, UrbanWords Group; Eddie Allen, Director of Community Wellness, Victor Fitness; Joyce Malin, President, Custom Writing Services and Al Berg, Board member, FISH of Vancouver and Community Philanthropist.

FISH of Vancouver has a capital campaign goal of $2 million, which will fund the purchase of a new facility and needed building improvements. To date, $1.2 million has been raised including a $1 million grant from the State of Washington Department of Commerce. Additional funds are sought from businesses and individuals.

The food pantry is currently located in a 1,500 sq foot rented space at St. Paul Lutheran Church in downtown Vancouver. A preferred location has been selected in west Vancouver. FISH hopes to occupy the new location in the fall of 2014.
