Recently Emily visited the FISH pantry for the first time. She has four children and her husband was laid off work because of company cut backs. She was told about FISH from a friend. She told our volunteer worker that she never thought that she would be going to a food bank for help. She was extremely grateful for the emergency food box that she received.

Patsy called to let us know that we could pick up all the clothes that did not sell at an estate sale that she was conducting. She explained that she once needed help from Fish and that she would like to pay back for all the support she received from FISH volunteers when she desparately needed it for her family following a divorce.

Kevin stopped by FISH and offered to work as a volunteer because he was in between jobs and wanted to do something worthwhile until he found a job. He thought of FISH because when he was a child his mother needed help. She was able to get food and clothing from FISH during a very difficult time in her life trying to raise her family. He wanted to pay back for all the help his family received.

Donate Your Old Coats & Clothes

We hope to provide a little warmth to the most vulnerable of our residents. It’s the perfect time to donate old coats & warm clothes that are clean and in good condition to those in need.

These coats & clothes are very much needed, and we are grateful to all the people who donate. We welcome coats and clothes for men, women, and children especially.

To donate, bring the coats to F.I.S.H. Vancouver.
