How to Help

Cash Donations

You can help us feed the hungry in our community with your contributions. We able to buy food we need from the Oregon Food Bank at .10 cents per pound. Your donations allow us to buy 10 pounds of food for each dollar donated.

We need funds so we can continue to meet the growing needs in the community. All funds raised or received are used to operate the food bank or to buy food. All our services are managed and operated by volunteers, so we do not have administrative agency overhead or staff costs.

All donations are tax deductible. We have 501 (c) (3) status.

All cash donations are deposited to the general fund unless otherwise stipulated.

Food Donations

Donations of non-perishable foods are our biggest need. Examples include peanut butter, cereal, top ramen noodles and cans of tuna.

Volunteers

We always could use more volunteers to serve in 3 hour shifts each week. Please contact us if you would like to join our great team.

Volunteer activities include the following:

• collect , stock, sort, box, and organize food items
• transport donations and food purchases from area businesses and organizations
• greet and register clients
• distribute food boxes to clients
• sort clothing for distribution
• process all paperwork, bills, reports, tracking, etc.
• volunteers with computer skills are especially important
